INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (ADAMS) – Inpatient elective surgeries are being suspended at IU Health.
The health network announced they’d be suspending 50-percent of those procedures starting August 30th.
Elective surgery patients are being notified and will be rescheduled about three weeks out.
The move comes in an effort to alleviate pressure on care teams and make sure there is inpatient space for those who need it most.
