FORT WAYNE, Ind. (ADAMS) – Prosecutors in Fort Wayne are pushing for felony charges against a mom who they say passed out while her 15-month-old daughter died.
Angela Brown was formally charged with her daughter’s death from October of last year. Doctors say the little girl died from a fentanyl overdose. Brown claimed she simply stopped breathing.
Investigators say they found an open pill capsule next to Brown’s bed where she was sleeping on the day her daughter died. Brown is being held on $35,000 bond.
