Rose Acre Farms, headquartered in Seymour, Indiana, has announced a major executive leadership transition across its core operations and growing consumer-products footprint.
Effective immediately, Terry Anderson has been elevated to Chief Executive Officer, succeeding Tony Wesner, who transitions into an Executive Management Advisory role while stepping in to lead subsidiary Egglife Foods, Inc.
Completing the structural shift, Bryce McCory—a third-generation member of the founding Rust family—has been promoted to Chief Operating Officer, filling the role previously held by Anderson.
The leadership changes mark a deliberate step forward for the nation’s second-largest egg producer, which began in the 1930s as a 1,000-hen farm and has expanded into a multi-state ag giant with 15 egg-laying facilities operating across seven states.
Broadening the Leadership Foundation
Anderson takes the helm after 35 years with Rose Acre Farms. Starting at the farm level in 1991, he advanced through various management ranks—including Vice President of Operations—before being named COO in late 2024.
“I would like to thank Tony and the Rust family for the trust that they have instilled in me for 35 years,” Anderson said. “We get up every day and help feed people, and I take that responsibility seriously.”
Anderson’s tenure as COO was marked by aggressive operational positioning, including guiding planning for Rose Acre’s expansion into the western United States. Under his and Wesner’s direction, the company acquired property in Bullhead City, Arizona, to establish its first Western egg-breaking and liquid processing plant—a facility designed to process up to 2 million eggs daily and output 200,000 pounds of liquid egg products.
McCory steps into the COO position after serving as a Regional Manager for Rose Acre Farms. His promotion reinforces family leadership continuity as the business adapts to shifting consumer demands and nationwide production scales.
“I am honored at the opportunity to serve as COO,” McCory noted. “I am excited to continue to work with our great team at RAF who make it happen every single day.”
Driving Value-Added Agriculture
Wesner’s shift to CEO of Egglife Foods puts a seasoned production veteran at the head of one of the Midwest’s most prominent value-added ag success stories.
Wesner spent 45 years with Rose Acre Farms, starting in 1981, rising to COO in 2011, and serving as CEO and Board Chairman since October 2024. During his four-plus decades, he oversaw Rose Acre’s transition from a regional egg supplier into a national protein supplier.
“When I came to work at Rose Acres, we just had chickens in southern Indiana, so I’ve been along for the ride for a long time,” Wesner said. “It has been an honor to work with The Good Egg People Team as CEO, and it’s time for me to turn the reins over to someone else.”
Wesner added that he is eager to build on the growth of Egglife Foods. Founded in 2017 by Rose Acre employee Peggy Johns, Egglife developed zero-carbohydrate, egg-white-based wraps as a healthy protein alternative. Headquartered in Chicago with main manufacturing facilities in Wolcott, Indiana, Egglife continues to expand its product line into egg-based pastas and ready-to-eat convenience foods.
“It’s been a joy to work with Terry, and to see him grow up in the company,” Wesner added regarding Anderson’s promotion.
With Anderson at the helm of production operations and Wesner steering the market growth of egg-protein consumer goods, Rose Acre Farms remains positioned to capitalize on both traditional shell egg demand and specialized processing markets across the U.S.
