MARION, Ind. (ADAMS) – Indiana State Police (ISP) say that a Marion man is being held in the Grant County Jail after his arrest for child pornography.
ISP officials say that 66-year-old Michael Drabenstot’s residence was the subject of a search warrant on Thursday after a tip came into the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.
Ultimately, ISP says, Drabenstot was taken into custody for ten counts of Possession of Child Pornography.
Indiana State Police released the following:
Grant County- On March 16, 2023, Trooper Adam York, along with detectives with the Indiana State Police Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force (ICAC) arrested a Grant County man on alleged charges of possession of child pornography.
This investigation by Trooper Adam York and the Indiana State Police ICAC Task Force began when a tip was received from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC). The tip ultimately led to a search warrant being served on a residence in the 5500 block of East Lakewood Court in Marion, IN by the Indiana State Police.
As a result of the investigation, Michael Drabenstot, 66, was arrested and transported to the Grant County Jail for 10 counts of Possession of Child Pornography, Level 5 Felony.
