It’s now up to the CDC to decide on more COVID boosters. An advisory panel meets today to consider another dose from Moderna and Johnson and Johnson. The FDA granted emergency use yesterday and also said it’s okay to mix and match vaccines as booster shots.
While an Arizona senator seems to be holding up President Biden’s spending plan. Democrats want to pass it by the end of the week, but Kyrsten Sinema is against one way to pay for it. She doesn’t want taxes raised for the wealthy and corporations. The Senate is now trying to work around her opposition so they can present a framework for the bill. But House Democrats say it’s unclear if they can even pass a bill that doesn’t raise tax rates.
