FORT WAYNE, Ind. (ADAMS) – The Fort Wayne Police Department says that one man was taken into custody Saturday morning after allegedly pointing a gun at workers who were on a nearby roof in a neighborhood close to Lake Avenue.
The FWPD says that he was quickly apprehended after officers arrived to the home on the 800 block of Bimini Lane around 9:10 a.m.
The man has not been identified. Police ask anyone with further information to contact Crime Stoppers.
The FWPD released the following:
On Saturday October 10, 2026 just after 9:00AM, officers with the Fort Wayne Police Department responded to the 800 block of Bimini Lane for a report of a Disturbance, Party Armed. Upon officer arrival, they found that the suspect had barricaded himself in his residence after pointing his firearm at nearby roof workers.
With the help of the Allen County Sherriff’s Department, the suspect was taken into custody without incident.
