ADAMS CO., Ind. (ADAMS) – The Indiana Department of Transportation has announced the closure of U.S. 224 for bridge construction in Decatur.
Starting on or after April 27, crews will complete a bridge deck overlay on the bridge over the St. Marys River between 1st Street and Limberlost Trail.
Work on the project is expected to be complete by the end of August. All work is weather-dependent and schedules are subject to change.
During the closure, drivers should use the official detour of State Road 101, U.S. 33 and U.S. 27, or seek an alternate route.
INDOT encourages drivers to consider safety for all by slowing down, using extra caution and driving distraction-free when travelling in and around all work zones.
