INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (ADAMS) – The four candidates for Indiana secretary of state debated Wednesday night.
Republican nominee Max Engling contended he is the only candidate firm on the issue of blocking non-U.S. citizens from voting, with Democrat Beau Bayh saying that is “ridiculous” and Lincoln Party nominee Greg Ballard calling it “ludicrous.”

Libertarian nominee Lauri Shillings said after the debate that Engling was “looking for a problem that doesn’t exist” in terms of non-citizens voting.
